FACE TO FACE MONTHLY MEETING
The Tunbridge Wells Forum meets in Southborough on the first Tuesday of the month. A second group has been launched in Kings Hill and meets on the first Wednesday of each month.
Building mutually supportive relationships by sharing a wide range of experiences over a broad range of issues will inspire your growth and that of your business. Topics to be discussed will be agreed with the members of the group depending on the current challenges and issues that will offer most to the group and their businesses.
A KICK START 1-2-1 SESSION WITH YOUR COACH
To get to know your coach, Denise, and identify your strengths and challenges, there is an optional first Step Up session that consists of:
- On-line access to Module 1: Step Up Your Business to get you thinking about where you’re at and raise to the surface the issues that are a priority for action
- On-line access to Module 2 to get you thinking about what you enjoy as well as a “strengths profile” so you can focus your efforts on what you do best for maximum productivity
- A 1-2-1 session with Denise to work through your priorities for action - so you can see the wood for the trees!
“The Step up Forum is a great concept offering valuable, affordable business coaching to small business owners in a group environment. This was exactly what I needed to take my business forward and I would highly recommend it.”

ACTION PLANS WITH SUPPORT BETWEEN SESSIONS TO MAKE THEM HAPPEN
At the end of each meeting, every member will identify and record actions they want to take before the next meeting and will receive support to make them happen through:
- An on-line forum with your coach and peers to raise challenges, inspire actions from each other, and share successes.
- An online accountability module accessible to your coach where you can record the action to which you have committed, your progress and or anything preventing you taking action. Your coach will have access to this module to help you if you get stuck.
- Buddying with a group member to inspire implementation between sessions
As a solopreneur and a new business owner, sometimes I felt a little lost… Networking was great for my business and gave me the chance to interact with other business owners but I knew that I needed an environment where I could open up honestly about the challenges I was facing, rather than try and always have my “confident, in control” face on. DMA’s group coaching has met that need head on…
A group of like minded business owners, able to share the trials and tribulations of working life, whilst being guided by Denise towards resolving our issues in a well thought out, structured way. Being guided in such a way that you ultimately answer your own questions is a triumph… Issues that felt overwhelming, once talked through, finally produce a light at the end of the tunnel.
The group coaching sessions offer an opportunity to invest some time back into finding the balance – making your business work for you, allowing you to celebrate your own successes and ensuring that you can see the wood for the trees for the month ahead!

To get the most out of your group meeting, and to be able to build trust and rapport, it will be imperative that we all agree to keep any discussions confidential, and this will be a condition of acceptance to the group.

I thought I would just drop you a line thanking you for organising and running the Step up Group at Kingshill. I find the monthly sessions continue to build on the one to one session we originally undertook some time back, and exploring further the strengths we identified at the start of the step up sessions .Indeed I found the strengths book an eye opener and have organised all team members at the branch to go online and identify their own strengths .The team members have willingly done this with some surprising vim that has enabled the branch team to work together in greater harmony and productivity.
I decided to continue after six months with the step up sessions as I also find the discipline of once a month running through my own personal targets (reduction in lock up and increased delegation) increasingly valuable in continuing my journey to achieve a better work/life balance. For too long I have cranked up the hours to achieve targets rather than thinking smarter. This step up group is another means of achieving this balance which is so crucial for Rustrick PLC.
Thanks once again
